Kris Ford

Kris Ford joined UCB Pharma in January 2002. He has responsibility for US business development inclusive of in-licensing, acquisition, co-promotion and asset divestments. Mr. Ford also works closely with UCB Europe business development on global M&A transactions.

Mr. Ford has worked in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry since 1990 when he began his career as a sales representative for Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS). Since that time, he has held several management positions for large, mid-size and start-up companies. His positions have covered a spectrum of functional areas including market research, project management, product management, portfolio management, operations, and business development. Mr. Ford’s company tenures include BMS, AAI Pharma, Oasis Biosciences, Inceutica and UCB Pharma. Oasis Biosciences and Inceutica are two start-up ventures that Kris co-founded and secured venture funding of $8M and $5M respectively. Kris has a broad base of deal experience including in/out-licensing, co-promotion, divestments, M&A, formation of JVs/subsidiaries, venture financing, and IPO.

Mr. Ford holds BS and MS degrees from NC State University and an MBA from University of North Carolina.
