Eric Tomlinson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Altea Therapeutics Corporation, a specialty pharmaceutical company developing novel transdermal patch therapies delivering water-soluble drugs, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, polypeptides and proteins across the skin.

Dr Tomlinson has extensive expertise in pharmaceutical product research & development. He was worldwide Head of Advanced Drug Delivery Research for Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals (now Novartis), and was Chief Executive Officer of GeneMedicine, Inc. the first publicly traded gene therapy company.

Eric Tomlinson received his doctorate and higher doctorate degrees from the University of London and an honorary doctorate of science (magna cum laude) from John Moores Liverpool University. He has published more than 220 scientific papers and has received several professional awards and distinctions in the pharmaceutical sciences.

Dr Tomlinson is the recipient of the Georgia Biomedical Industry Growth Award for 2007.
