Dr. Vassiliades received his MD from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and completed his General Surgery residency at Emory. His cardiothoracic fellowship was completed at University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Vassiliades' clinical specialties include hybrid robotic coronary surgery and angioplasty, while his current research foci are atraumatic coronary artery bypass and robotics.
